Medical Imaging
Medical Imaging (Radiology) refers to a range of non-invasive procedures for detecting and monitoring diseases or injuries by generating images of internal anatomic structures and organs of the body. The detailed images produced by these procedures are used to further inform the patient and physician about the anatomic organization and functional working of the inner organs and structure of the body.
The resulting images are interpreted by radiologists and other physicians so as to diagnose various medical illnesses or injuries. This helps in planning for patient treatment, therapy and/or monitors the outcomes of therapeutic procedures or treatments
