Dr Agbo Ezra Ogbonnaya

Dr Agbo Ezra Ogbonnaya joined the Company as a Consultant Pathologist and Chief Operating Officer in 2021. He is a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Doctor, Medical Biochemist, Clinical Pathologist (Laboratory Physician) and Chemical Pathologist.

He became an Associate of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN) in 2006. In 2007 he obtained a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Chemical Pathology) from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. He earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB;BS) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2012, and a Master of Science in Medical Biochemistry from the same university.

Dr Ezra became a Member of the West African College of Physicians (MWACP [Lab Med]) in October 2016, a Fellow of the Nigerian Medical College of Pathologists (FMCPath) in May 2019 and a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP [Lab Med]) in October 2019. He is a member of the Association of Clinical Chemists of Nigeria (ACCN), an affiliate of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC).

His areas of interest include nutrition and metabolism, cancer biology, geriatric medicine and gerontology, laboratory methodologies and instrumentation, molecular diagnostics and clinical governance. He is Laboratory Director and Clinical Consultant in a technical supervisory role, with experience directing testing within Clinical Chemistry, Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, Diagnostic Immunology and Haematology.

Dr Ezra holds certification in Clinical Pathology (Chemical Pathology Specialty) by the Academic Board of the Faculty of Pathology and the Senate of the National Postgraduate Medical College (FMCPath), an equivalent of the American Board of Pathology.
