Dr Everest Okpara is the visionary founder and CEO of Everight Diagnostic & Laboratory Services Ltd, a leading radiology and ISO 15189:2022 certified pathology laboratory in Nigeria. He is a philanthropist and a transformational leader with a solid entrepreneurial spirit, a track record of building lasting business relationships, consistent commitment to meeting stakeholders' expectations, and timely completion of quality projects. In a career spanning about 20 years, he has significantly impacted the medical diagnostic industry globally and particularly in Nigeria.

He founded Everight Diagnostic & Laboratory Services Ltd in 2005. Under his leadership, Everight Diagnostics has amassed a staff strength of over 450 employees across its branches in the South-East, South-West and North Central regions of Nigeria — in Owerri, Imo State; Lagos State; and Abuja, FCT. Over the years, Everight Diagnostics has also successfully trained over 20,000 medical laboratory scientists and technicians, sonologists, radiographers and medical interns, doubling as a training and research institute for medical personnel. Prior to founding Everight, he worked with Sympathy Pharmaceuticals as a Sales Manager.

He led the organisation to develop molecular capabilities in 2019, and under his leadership the facility was recognised as the first private laboratory to obtain special approval from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) to offer COVID-19 PCR testing. It was also one of the first laboratories approved by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for real-time COVID-19 PCR testing. In 2022 and 2025 respectively, the facility obtained ISO 15189:2012 and ISO 15189:2022 accreditation for its laboratory in Abuja.

In 2018, Dr Okpara founded Sangtech Technologies Nigeria Ltd, an IT consultancy firm specialising in software engineering and development, whose services include Laboratory Information Systems, Radiological Management Systems, and Picture Archiving & Communication Systems (PACS). He is also Chairman of the Everight Healthcare Foundation, Chairman of Sangtech Technologies Nigeria Ltd and Chairman of Purna Nigeria Ltd.

Dr Okpara holds a PhD and an MBA in Business Administration specialising in Healthcare Management from Charisma University, USA. He also holds a Bachelor's in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (Lagos State University), a certificate in Healthcare Management (Lagos Business School), and a certificate in Biostatistics and Epidemiology (Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA). He holds a certification in Effective Public Speaking from the GOTNI Leadership Centre.

His awards include Africa's Most Respected CEO Award (Business Executives, Dubai, 2021), an Appreciation Award for Excellence in Healthcare Delivery (Gulf Medical University, Dubai, 2025), and an Outstanding Leadership Award in Healthcare (Global Skills Hub, UK, 2025).

Beyond healthcare, Dr Okpara is an advocate for economic empowerment. He has served as National Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), President of the Owerri Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OCCIMA), and NACCIMA Youth Coordinator in South-Eastern Nigeria.
